Never buy a mac for hardware...Because they do not have the best.
ROFLMAO!
That's as funny as the RIM CEO defending the PlayBook by saying email "really isn't a core element."
http://www.loopinsight.com/2011/04/14/rim-ceo-defends-playbook-says-email-really-isnt-a-core-element/
Also, it's nice to know that us iOS users are unaffected by the latest Flash exploit for Android.

Not bad for not being the "best" because Windows and Android is better right?

I nominate the above post to win the "most-retarded-comment-award"
The last part doesn't make any sense, but the poster IS right that "ultimate" usage of an Apple product for calculator usage is hardly the iPad--rather, MATLAB or Mathematica on OS X. Actually, for that matter, the Grapher app in OS X is remarkably good, too.

All I want is a real graphics card.
All I want is the bugs fixed. :D ...and a faster processor, and the graphics card, and the updated Airport, and better cooling, and...

on the specs page for the mac mini the intel logo links to a non-exsistent page about core 2 duos....(as seen on apple insider) but all the other links to the usual intel core duo spots on the mac mini pages are down as well....change in progress. Maybe today is apple's day to completely embrace the C2D

Would the new iMac 23 inch qualify for the back to school promotion?
What about an 8 GB nano?
Of course, the promotion is very specific about models on Macs and iPods:
http://store.apple.com/Catalog/US/Images/bts/bts_faq.html
Unless Apple makes a special exception, my guess is that neither model would qualify. The promotion rules specifically state 17 or 20 inch iMac, and 1, 2, or 4 GB nano. Check the FAQ about the promotion.
Any tips about this? Maybe I'll check with Apple directly by telephone, if a new iMac and new nano are actually introduced next week.

It's all fun and games until someone wakes up with a dead horse head in their bed.
But seriously... $9.99 to $12.99 movie downloads when I can go over to any store (like, oh, say, Wal-Mart) and buy the real deal for a buck or two more? Just how in God's name is this a threat to them?! Wal-Mart's smartest move would be to drop their DVD prices by that buck or two, until they cost the SAME or LESS than online downloads.
not factoring in the gas to get there. maybe drop it 5 bucks to copensate lol

All I am doing is very light web browsing and perhaps 2 or 3 minutes of Twitter use, per hour.

If this rumor is true, I'm certainly glad I got my iPad 2. No way in hell do I want a 3d handheld device. I can handle 3d on big screens far ahead of me, but handheld machines just give me headaches. 3D tech is a whole bag of hurt... Especially in the eye and temples.

The link to the battery recall is changing. I've got at least 2 printout that do not match up! First time the link took me to Depot.Info and then the last time it took me to Support.apple.com. These links are slightly different.

This is not a hack at all.. unless you have SSH ("Remote Login" in Sharing prefs) on and the attacker knows your password, they can't do crap.
Now, by all means I'd like to see proof that this hack can actually exploit a user's system without SSH on and without knowwing their password, but from what I've seen I wouldn't think so.

Hi Doctor Q- The "I've got blisters on my fingers" is part of "Helter Skelter," and only heard at the end of the STEREO version, and not a separate song. Also, "The End" is over 2 minutes. The part you are referring to is probably the part at the end of the song... "and in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.." However, the song has the long guitar solos before getting to that part, and the intro is part of "The End."j
You are correct about where these were on Beatles albums, but that's not what I'm talking about. I'm referring to the VH1 Storytellers album where Ringo is interviewed. His admission that his was the voice saying "I've got blisters on my fingers" is 15 seconds long but treated as a track on the album and his comment about the end of the interview (not the song named "The End") is a 4-second track. Apple charges 99 cents for each.

Why do we need a part 13?
Because the forum software has trouble with threads over 2000 posts, so ongoing threads get split into new parts around that point.

This is not an empty threat. Wal-Mart pushes around vendors like this all the time. In the end Companies want to sell their product and unfortunately Wal-Mart is the largest brick and mortar distributers. For those of you who are saying "Ban Wal-Mart", ask yourselves how many "Community X keeps Wal-Mart out" success stories have you heard of? :(

I'm not sure how serious all the offers that Qaddafi has reportedly received for asylum, but there does seem to be some effort to help him leave.
I've also been thinking that the Arab League's support of the NFZ is probably in part because if all those EU and NATO planes are busy in Libya, they can't be flying over Yemen or Syria or any other troubled ME country.
The problem with Libya is that Qaddafi has encouraged tribal rivalries on a large scale. Post Qaddafi, Libya could end up a factionalized nightmare.
In essence booting out Qa-Daffy is no assurance of ending up with anything better or friendlier.
